Capes and another pair of glove/mitts

I finally finished all the projects that I have had on the table for now.  I had to make capes for the lady who had me make all those tipless finger glove/mitts.  I have the capes finished now.  I also had to make another pair of the glove/mitts for a lady from church.  She asked me if I could make a pair for her.  I just finished them, too.

This is the first cape following the directions
to a tee.  However, I thought it might be a bit
short, so she wanted me to make the
second one longer.  Not my fault that the color
is not the same.  Her yarn must not have been
the same dye lot.

This is the second cape.  It was made with
straight garter stitch instead of the
herringbone stitch of the other one.
It took a long time to do the other stitch
so she said to make it simple. The color
difference is just from the camera.

My granddaughter styling the first cape
from the front view.

This shows it from the back.  She mentioned
that she might want me to make it longer.
If so, I will need to add fringe. No way
will I attempt to knit it to be longer.

As you can see, the second cape is much
longer but is meant for an 11-year old
who is tall.  Lexi is just an average
8-year old.

The back looks like a nice length.

This is my final project, the glove/mitts for the lady at church.

Now that I am all done with projects, I am finding too much idle time on my hands.  I will need to start some new projects soon or I am going to go nuts wasting my time.  I guess I need to start thinking about next year's family Christmas presents and the craft show for the holiday festival.
