Holiday festival projects 2018

I have decided this year to make mostly toys and stuffies for my table at the holiday festival.  I really enjoy making little characters and they are, for the most part, quite easy to do and go pretty fast.  I am making them in all different sizes from miniature to grand size.

Ball that will be sold as a toy to go in the toy box
Large crocodile (very hard to make because I had to keep
adjusting the pattern) and it still has too short a tail but since
you start at the tail, I wasn't going to take it all out and do over.

My version of Rudolph using the deer pattern that I had.

This large koala bear is made from very soft
quilting yarn

Large dinosaur in acrylic yarn

Miniature Rudolph and panda bear in cotton yarn.
Large turtle in cotton yarn.

Small penguin made from cotton yarn.
Small google eyed frog also made from
ctton yarn.
Small pig brother and sister in cotton yarn.

Birds of a feather flock together done in cotton yarn.

Small woodsy characters in cotton yarn

These small characters are done in very soft
baby blanket yarn.

Small zebra and giraffe in cotton yarn.

Small rhino, hippo, and elephant in cotton yarn.
This Patriot's monkey is child sized and my
most expensive toy because of the clothes.

I am starting with something new this year.  My grandson had a pillow pet given to him for Christmas a few years back.  I saw it and decided that it would be something I probably could make without a pattern.  I used his moose pillow pet as a model and used the head patterns from the cuddle pal blankets that I made last year and came up with my own pillow pets.

I have more projects cut out that I will be sewing.  I have another new type of pillow.  They are pet neck pillows.  I have them cut out and will get to them next.  I also have some more miniature toys cut out of felt that I will sew.  I have two baby blankets ready to assemble also.  After that I will go back to making some hats, scarfs, and things like that that I usually sell at the festival.

May Birthday

Wow, it has been a long time since I blogged.  I have lots to add. First I will do the birthday projects I did in May, but never got posted.  Then I will do the things I have been working on for the Holiday Festival in my next post.
Mario Cake I made for Jackson's 8th birthday

Jackson holding his Bowser pinata that I made for him

Lexi had a puppy birthday so I made her a bone cake.
Sorry it is upside down.

Joey's Birthday theme was sports so the
baseball cake.

Lexi in her puppy shirt I made for her 8th birthday

Joey in his Red Sox shirt I made for his 9th birthday

Joey in his Nathanial Greene costume he used for his waxed museum presentation in 3rd grade.  I made the coat years ago for a play I did with 6th graders when I taught in middle school and had a drama club.  I made the wig for this costume.
