Crafts for festival 2019

I did a few new things for the craft show this year.  I have already shown some of the things before, but here are a few more.  First are the ornaments.

 Next are the scarves and hats.  This year I found patterns for scarves that match some of the animal hats I have done in the past.  I also got new hat patterns.  I also did some more fingerless gloves and hand warmers, head bands, hats, and sweaters.

These Christmas stockings were custom made for my grandchildren, requested by their father.
I didn't have a pattern to follow so I had to create one of my own.  The first one I did was way
too big so I had to take it out and start all over.  I had a real problem getting the turn in the ankle
and had to take it out several times before getting it to look right.  By the time I had done the
sock for the third time, I had the pattern looking the way I wanted it to look.

Finally, this completes my projects for 2019.  Had a lot of fun with them.  I did a lot of cross stitch projects that did not sell, so I gifted them out for Christmas.  It was the same for most of my felted projects.  I didn't sell the felted Christmas Nativity either, so I guess I will keep it for myself and put it under my tree.

Wood burning signs

For each of the families this year, I did a wood burned sign.

T's family has hearts all over their house,
inside and out so I thought this would be
appropriate for them.

Tom has a thing with pork so I thought he would
enjoy a pig sign for his home.

Very appropriate for Marty's family.

Cheryl's has four birds because there are four of them.

The next projects were not done by me.  I just helped my grandchildren do some wood burning because when they saw the ones I did, they wanted to try.

Ellis chose to do the deer head and Joey is so into horses that of course that is what he did.  Lexi loves dogs and Portia chose to do a fox.  I had the girls do a simple outline picture because they are younger.  I was afraid they would burn themselves, but as it turned out, they seemed to handle the burning irons better than the boys as far as being sure not to touch where they shouldn't.  After burning themselves a few times, the boys finally got the knack of it and did better.  I think they all did a wonderful job.
